Alessio's first World Championship medal: silver in the 100m lane sprint, clocking 10.145s and finishing just behind Spain's Jhoan Guzman (10.024s), with Mexico's Jorge Luis Martinez taking bronze. “The sensations were good despite my opponent's caliber. I led in the first 40 meters and fought until the end, but his experience prevailed. I'm very happy nonetheless,” Alessio said after the race.
