On the Chinese circuit of Beidaihe, Alessio finished 4th in the 100m road sprint. Spain's Jhoan Guzman took gold, with Italian teammate Vincenzo Maiorca claiming silver — the closest miss of Alessio's career at this level, and part of an Italian team that grabbed two golds and two silvers that day.
